Getting in the Holiday Spirit!

Jeremy and I have been really getting into the Holiday spirit lately!  We did our shopping on Friday and wrapped gifts all night!  We even ran out of wrapping paper!  I can’t believe how many gifts we have under the tree for everyone!  Christmas truley is the season of giving!!  There is nothing more that I love then to see the excitement and smiles on someone’s face when they open their Christmas gifts! 

Tonight there was a Jacksonville Boat Parade downtown, so we went out on the pool deck to watch all of the boats parade by.  There were some really amazing boats decoarated.  The past 2 evenings we have had some awesome fireworks downtown as well!  We have posted some pictures below of the boat parade and our Christmas tree.  Enjoy!!

We have so much to be thankful for!!!  Jeremy and I had a great Thanksgivings Day!  It was a day full of eating, decorating the Christmas tree, spirits, football, cleaning, and spending some great time with family!  We posted some pictures below of our Thanksgivings Day.

Breaking News!!

….well not really, but to me it is.  I am going to pick up my wedding dress tomorrow at 2:30pm!  And I am so excited!  Granted it will still need to be taken to a seamstress for the bustle, and getting it taken in, but I can’t wait!  I’m bringing my 2 wedding veils tomorrow when I go so I can get the full effect.  Sorry, but I won’t be posting a picture of it, you will just have to wait!!  I can’t believe how fast time is going by, it feels like just yesterday I went to pick it out (which was July).  Everything is finally coming together and before we know it we will be husband and wife!  yey!

Tara’s Wedding

Jeremy and I attended my old college roommate’s wedding.  The bride (Tara)  is also my best friend’s sister  this past weekend in Tampa, FL.  It was great to see my friends from college and spend time with them!  I’ve only been to about 2 weddings in the past 10 years (I have a small family), so it was also nice to see how the order of the wedding, reception, etc. actually goes.  I have posted some highlights from the weekend below and I can’t wait to have them at our wedding!

Photographers

Jeremy and I signed the contract and now have wedding photographers! We are having our pictures done with S & R Photography and are really excited to have them capture our wedding! Their photos are so beautiful! We plan on having our engagement photos done around January….which gives the weather time to cool down (don’t want it to be blazing outside while taking photos)! http://www.sandrphotography.com/

Now that we have that out of the way, the only big things left are….DJ and Flowers!  Any suggestions of a DJ or Florist in the Jacksonville area would be appreciated!! :)

Bridesmaid Dresses & Colors

Soon after Jeremy and I got engaged, people already started asking me what the colors were for the wedding. I decided to keep it simple and chose Black, White, and Navy Blue. My main reason for choosing those colors was because they are simple to coordinate with, and go well together. So many people pick Teal, Pink, etc. and then have trouble finding things that match just right.

I actually went shopping for Bridesmaid dresses before shopping for my Wedding dress. I think all Brides need to try the Bridesmaid dress on as well because if it is not something that you would wear, then don’t expect your Bridesmaids to be too thrilled about it either. I picked out a few dresses I knew would look great on Nadine and Erin, and I was so happy that they liked them too! I have posted the 2 dresses below. The colors will be navy blue (not sure if the black accent will stay or be navy blue as well) and the length will be to the knees(ish). I won’t tell you who is wearing what. I’ll let that be the mystery! :)

Jeremy and I were out on our balcony last week gardening as usual and stopped to admire the beautiful sunset. We took a few pictures, so I wanted to post the one that I thought looked the best. Here’s hoping we have a beautiful sunset the day of our wedding! (The building in the background is the Wachovia Building where we are having the FL Reception!)
